The Indonesian Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology has partnered with INIT Netherlands to introduce a Certified International Internship Programme for Information Technology (IT) students.

The programme covers IT jobs in Software Engineering, Low Code, Workflow Automation, AI-Powered Decisioning, and Cyber Security. It aims to meet the demands of industry and international institutions in the field of IT/ICT Software Engineering, in collaboration with Indonesian universities and polytechnics. The initiative is supported by key partners such as Pega Systems, Seco Institute, and Cyber Security Academy.

The programme is a collaboration between the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology in Indonesia and INIT-International in the Netherlands. The programme aims to bridge the gap between higher education and the real world of work by focusing on current topics in technology, soft skills, foreign languages, and education.

The programme is a collaboration between the Directorate General of Vocational Studies of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology in Indonesia and INIT-International in the Netherlands. It is attended by Mr. Paul and Mr. Leo. The collaborative programme aims to bridge the gap between higher education and the real world of work by focusing on technology, soft skills, foreign languages, and current education. The meeting and collaboration were supported by LLDikti Region III, a work unit that runs parallel to the Ministry of Education and Culture’s main unit programme. The discussion at this activity was enriched by the presence of Prof. Dr. Toni Toharudin, S.Si., M.Sc., Head of LLDikti Region III, and Tri Munanto, S.E., M.Ak., Head of the Learning, Student Affairs, and Achievement Work Team.

It emphasises Low Code-AI Power Decisioning-Workflow Automation Training through Pega Systems and Cyber Security training, covering Foundation, Practitioner, Protection, and Pentesting by SECO. This strategic focus aims to equip students with the skills required by international companies.

The primary aim of this initiative is to offer students practical experience in an international setting through certified training programmes. By providing certifications from Pega University Academic Programme (UAP) and Seco Cyber Security, students can enhance their competitiveness and acquire valuable work experience.

The programme will be executed through a pilot project that involves training for lecturers from participating universities and certification courses for students. This programme aims to prepare students to meet the requirements of international companies in Asia and Europe.

It provides opportunities for collaboration with international partners, such as Pega Systems and SECO, to ensure that students receive internationally recognised certification. These collaborations enhance the quality of education and equip students with valuable skills for the global labour market.

To enhance student involvement in international internships, a loan system has been proposed. This financial model provides selected students with the necessary support to pursue internships abroad and develop their professional skills.
